Utrecht is sponsoring a $500.00 Art Smart (Utrecht Award of Excellence)

Quick Draw 2010

Rules and Regulations for Saturday June 12th 1-3pm

Register for this event anytime; registration will close at 11am Saturday June 12th.
Boundaries: Artists will be given a boundary map of where they can paint during the Quick Draw. It will be close to or within the Cranford downtown.
Set Up: It is recommended that you get set up at your desired location within the boundaries of this event before it starts.
Begin: Artists will begin painting at 1pm. There will be no pre-painted or pre-drawn work allowed.
Stop: You must stop painting at 3PM
Framing and Matting is strongly encouraged: this will help with your sale.
Exhibit and Judging: When you have completed your painting take it to North Ave Train Station Art Wall and set up the easel you did your painting on and get ready for judging and selling (you'll see our signs) Volunteers will be on hand to help you move. Exhibit, sale and awards 3:30-5.
Quick Draw prize-winning paintings will be included in the main PAINT THE TOWN show and awards ceremony on Sunday June 13th. A $500.first place merchandize award, $200.second place cash award and $100.third place cash award will be issued.
Sale: All paintings displayed on Art Wall will be for sale and eligible for awards. All paintings must include tickets with name, price, and be available for sale.
Go to the artist information table located at the Art Wall and fill out tickets that allow you to sell your work. Name, Title, Price. Volunteers will be on hand to help.
People will be able to purchase your work but paintings must remain on easels until the event is over at 5pm.
A 20% commission will be collected on sold work. Artists will be paid within 3 weeks.
Any artists who sell their work on the side to avoid commission will be banned from future events. Only the painting done on location will be allowed to be displayed and sold.
